The IESO's 2018 Electricity Summit, Unlocking the Value of Innovation, brought together experts and innovative thinkers from across North America.

Discussions and spotlights included consumer behaviour and drivers for innovation, as well as how the electricity system will be called on to adapt to or change traditional approaches, processes and systems due to innovative solutions including blockchain technology and distributed energy resources.

IESO Signs Gender Diversity Leadership Accord

Peter Gregg, President and CEO of the IESO recently signed the Leadership Accord on Gender Diversity in the Electricity Industry, signalling the IESO’s commitment to promote values of diversity, equality and inclusion in its own workplace and throughout the electricity sector.

SAC Meeting Sector Participants

New Members on Stakeholder Advisory Committee

The IESO welcomes three new members to the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) who will represent Ontario communities and energy related businesses. Consumers, generators, and distributors/transmitters are also represented by members of the SAC.

The SAC provides policy-level advice and recommendations on the IESO’s mandate and other electricity issues directly to the Board of Directors and management team.
